Search for missing fisherman, 18, off Albany coast set to become ‘recovery’ mission

The search for a missing teenager swept off rocks east of Albany is set to become a recovery mission, police have conceded.
The 18-year-old male and his 23-year-old friends fell into the water on Saturday while fishing in rough conditions.
The teenager’s friend was rescued after treading water for more than an hour, but the 18-year-old could not be located.
The search continued throughout Sunday and Monday.
On Monday police said the search would likely move into “recovery” mode on Tuesday.
“We will conclude the emergency response and tomorrow we will move to a recovery mode,” Great Southern Police Supt Ian Clarke said on Monday.
